Côr Cochion Caerdydd / Cardiff Reds Choir – ‘Not in my name’

Stop illegal wars being carried out in our name

‘Not in my name’ is the new Tarw du release by Côr Cochion Caerdydd. Côr Cochion are a Welsh campaign group who work tirelessly to raise awareness of world injustices and illegal acts of war such as the ones we have seen in recent years. The illegal attacks on sovereign states such as Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya by successive Westminster and American governments, together with other NATO countries and their silent allies, are illegal and criminal attacks carried out in our name. Where will be next, and next after that if we allow it – Syria, Iran, Somalia, Pakistan, Britain, the USA? Why are the UN and particularly western mainstream media and news blindly sanctioning these illegal attacks?

Profits from the sale of this single will go towards the legal defence case of Welsh American ex soldier Bradley Manning and thereafter to the international peace movement via CND Cymru. Bradley Manning was detained without trial for over two years and is now facing a lengthy legal defence case and potential lifetime imprisonment for his whistle blowing acts on war crimes committed by the American army in Iraq. Blowing the whistle on war crimes is not a crime.

The single is also registered for Britain’s charts. You can also make a difference by lobbying your AM’s, MP’s and other political representatives to demand a stop to further illegal attacks and to call on those criminals guilty of war crimes to be impeached and brought to justice.

Release date – July 20th 2012. Available from all good online stores

Mae prif neges y gan yn tanlinellu pam fod angen gwrthod caniatau i lywodraethau gario mlaen i ymosod ar fwy o wledydd yn anghyfreithlon ag yn ein enw ni – unai fel gwledydd unigol neu o dan gysgod NATO, fel rydym wedi gweld dros y ddegawd dwythaf yn enwedig gyda’r ymosodiadau anghyfreithlon ar Irac, Affganistan a Libya.

Syria, Iran, Somalia, Pakistan, Prydain, America; pa wlad neu wledydd fydd nesa os na wneith bobol siarad allan yn erbyn y peth, a pam fod y Cenhedloedd Unedig a’r prif gyfryngau a sianneli newyddion yn y gorllewin yn arbennig, yn annog a chefnogi’r fath ymosodiadau anghyfreithlon ?

Bydd unryw elw o werthiant ar ol hynnu yn mynd tuag at annog heddwch yn rhynglwladol drwy CND Cymru. Mae’r sengl yma hefyd wedi ei chofrestru i’r siartiau Prydeinig. Gallith pawb hefyd neud gwahaniaeth drwy gysylltu a rhoi pwysau ar ein gwleidyddion i wneud eu gwaith a gwrthod caniatau mwy o ymosodiadau anghyfreithlon, yn ogystal a uchelgyhuddo a rhoi’r troseddwyr sydd yn euog o’r troseddau rhyfel yma o flaen eu gwell.
