‘Free Manning’, ‘Free Assange’ messages at Wrexham Peace Day events

Solidarity banners were displayed on the fences around the library green in Wrexham where Peace Day events were held on Friday and Saturday 21 and 22 September.

Flyers, postcards and other solidarity materials including the excellent CND Cymru bilingual briefing sheets were distributed from stalls organised by Wrexham Peace & Justice Forum and Bangor & Ynys Mon Peace & Justice Group.

If you want to do something for public awareness of these issues, just make a banner or placard and stand around in a public place prepared to answer questions about who Bradley Manning and Julian Assange are and why they should be freed and protected.

Towards the end of the afternoon, some enlightened Wrexham youngsters – wearing their Free Brad stickers with pride – climbed up on the council bins for an impromptu performance.
