National Theatre Wales is taking Tim Price’s play The Radicalisation of Bradley Manning to Scotland for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe as part of the British Council Showcase and every performance from 6 – 25 August will be livestreamed.
As previously, the play will be staged in a local high school. Last year it opened at Tasker Milward, the school in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire that Bradley attended as a teenager, with further performances at a school in Cardiff and another in Flintshire.
If you can’t get to see the play live in Edinburgh, take advantage of technical wizardry and watch it on your computer at home or organise a screening in your community.
Playwright Tim Price has just won a major award for the play, the James Tait Black Prize for Drama.
Tim Price is quoted as saying:
I am thrilled to be recognised by such a prestigious award, and honoured to be chosen as winner from such a fantastic shortlist of plays.
That it is the first time a category for drama has been added to the James Tait Black Prizes is even more exciting.
