This annual event for International Women’s Day on 8 March is organised by Chester Women’s Aid. We took along information about Chelsea Manning and the Family Fund as part of our peace and justice stall. Other information included anti-nuclear, anti-war and peace-related literature.
We found ourselves right next to the performance area where the afternoon’s entertainment included signed singing, samba, a community choir, zumba and belly dancers in the tribal style; we were also right opposite Unique Transgender Network campaign stall who took piles of our postcards and some briefings to share with their transgender groups in north Wales and Manchester.
