Vigil Call Out in support of Julian #Assange 14th November 2016 (New Date) – Will #Sweden Call?

This event was originally planned for the 17th of October but was subsequently changed to the 14th of November as the questioning of Julian Assange was shifted to that date.

Political Asylum, Arbitrary Detention.

Julian Assange will remain in UK and Swedish history as the individual whose rights were trampled upon by states drunk in their own power. He was put through an extradition process in the UK whose decision has consequently been found to be in error by the UK Supreme Court, was arrested on a warrant found unjust by Parliament who legislated against it, was granted political asylum to protect his life and work from political persecution, was found to be arbitrarily detained by the highest authority in the world in such matters, UNWGAD, still he has not benefitted from all these developments. Politics is what keep him in his current state.

There is no justice when basic human rights are trampled upon to serve the prestige of an unfair judicial system and its representatives, a system without Human Rights bar, without oversight. Neither is justice done when legal process involving both the police and judicial authorities of two countries are subject to political interference. There is no justice when vast sums of public money are expended in the name of upholding the law when in fact they are spent in covering up the deep hypocrisy of states’ power, when they feel such power is under threat from scrutiny. Neither is justice done when again public money is expended in creating cultural bias and prejudice against a man without a path to recourse.

Solidarity Vigil

We call a solidarity vigil on Monday the 14th of November outside the Ecuadorian Embassy at 9am to remind those who have prevaricated for six years, those who have sabotaged the progress of the legal process, those who engaged the powers of two states to hold Julian Assange Arbitrarily Detained that we stand witness at the injustice.

The beauty of our societies is that our human nature forever will gaze the horizon with hope and since Julian Assange’s horizon is hindered by the walls of the Ecuadorian Embassy which has become his refuge from persecution, our eyes will do this work. Gazing into the horizon with hope, standing witness, standing in respectful solidarity, together.

Please join us!

The place:       Outside the Ecuadorian Embassy, No 3 Hans Crescent London,
nearest tube station: Knightsbridge, (Piccadilly Line)

The Time:       Monday 14th of November 2016 from 9am to 12 noon.

This special vigil outside the Ecuadorian Embassy in London is very important as this is the day the WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange will be finally questioned enabling some progress regarding the outstanding Swedish case. Please visit http://www.justice4assange.com website for the latest developments in this case.

If you are unable to attend, but still wish to show your support, please share with us a statement of support special for the occasion which we can read out during the event.

In solidarity!

    Dear Julian,
I wish I could be here in person. I’m very proud of you and of what you have done and are doing. Never loose hope, stand strong. We’re all with you.

  4. Gerda Wittmann says:

Dear Julian! I cannot be there, unfortunately! But I am praying, that justice will at long last prevail and see you freed in the near future! You have served so incredibly well, by bringing out truth and light into the worldwide community and I am so proud of you, as a former Australian citizen. I pray that the Australian government at long last show some support to you. It is long overdue. I am convinced that this current case by the Swedish authorities is just based on lies and deceit, in order to render you ineffective, but this did not work, for you worked so hard, despite all of the negative circumstances. May the Lord grant you His peace and surround you with His love. Many blessings to you.

  5. Kate martin says:

Never stop being a champion of the truth.
    Love from Kate Martin

  7. LA McLendon says:

    Dear Julian,
    Thank you…

I have been staring at this blinking cursor for about an hour now since typing those two simple yet hopefully meaningful words.
I am seemingly suffering from a bit of writer’s block. It’s not from having nothing to say but quite the contrary. I have so much to say I am struggling with how to say it. So I will try (emphasis on ‘try’) to keep it short and simple.

    Thank you Julian…

I, among millions of others around the globe, have been awakened and touched in the most profound and positive of ways by your mere existence and what you have done and continue to do with it.
We have utmost respect for you and your work and are grateful for your mind, heart and courage.
All your efforts and accomplishments, past, current and future, have not gone and will not go unrecognised nor unappreciated.

    Thank you…

Although you have made it clear that it has not been your goal nor wish, you are none-the-less our hero.
All of us truth seekers, truth tellers and truth defenders; all of us human rights defenders and so on, support you and WikiLeaks and the whistle-blowers and are trying to do our part to assist as best we can.
You have pretty much created a movement if not a revolution of sort.

    Thank you…

All of our most positive and hopeful thoughts and blessings and love which we have already been sending your way shall be with you especially today, Monday, November 14, 2016 as you are finally given opportunity to clear your name once again and move forward to freedom.

It would not do for your efforts and sacrifices and suffering to be for nothing,
Keep fighting. Keep fighting for right and know we are there fighting with you and for you.

Thank you Julian Assange. Thank you. Thank you and good luck.

    Best,
    Lorrie McLendon

I will be praying for you, Mr Assange. May God bless you for all you do.

  17. Anne Pallatin says:

    Dear Julian,

Throughout history of mankind, few brave men and women were able to stand up and heartfully face and point out corruption for the sake of humanity. You are one of them. You’ve given hope and courage to many oppressed people and brought back what Dignity means thanks to your determination for truth.
Thank you so much for all of us. With you in spirit from Paris.
    Anne

  18. Dear Julian,
Although I am unable to be there with you and your supporters know that in spirit I and many others across the globe stand beside you. You’ve given so much of yourself so that others may see the truth and we all owe a debt of gratitude we can never repay. You’ve reached to the smallest corners of towns and cities across the globe with your message of truth and accountability. I and many others are indebted to you for the removal of the veil that clouded our vision from reality of government corruption. I sleep easy at night knowing that you SIR delivered us from our own blinded ignorance. As a mother and grandmother today I see a bright future for my children and grandchildren because of the untiring commitment you gave of yourself to enlighten others. I wish for you peace, joy, and the happiness you so richly deserve.
    Sincerely with love and respect,
    S.B.

  19. Catherine Wite says:

I thank Julian for his bravery/courage and know one day he will be acknowledged for all he has done. Julian I pray for you often and know there are MANY who have your back and send LOVE
    Catherine (Melbourne)

  20. Wendy Hijazi says:

Dear Julian Assange, There is no way to express how greatly you are admired and respected for your bravery against almost insurmountable odds purely for the sake of truth in disclosure. I feel I am one amongst millions who believe that it would be the biggest travesty in our time if you were not fully pardoned today. The whole world is watching, and I personally would like the government of Sweden and my own country the USA to recognize that the rule of law itself is summarily on trial here. Because with no truth you cannot have a civil society. What testimony would be of any merit in courts of the world if there were no plumb line of truth? Would any judgment be more than a folly and a miscarriage? So, Mr Assange, please know that though they may try with vicious, evil hands to corruptly ensnare you, we are with you and there are so many people on your side, we will not sit idly by and allow it. It would behove the Swedish authorities to raise their gaze of shameful tactics, and greedy desire to harm you and see all of us. There is no evidence that you did any crime and people in authority were bribed and we all see precisely what they are up to. The seeds of truth cannot be stopped in growing and if they salaciously continue they are only promoting you to higher prominence, and they will be forgotten in a moment. You have been incorruptible, so please be strong and know our hearts and spirits, hopes and dreams are for your complete exoneration now. Thank you immensely, Wendy Hijazi

  21. Laura says:

Thank you Julian Assange… truly thank you, you did make a difference and inspired all of us..again thank you

  22. Julian A – Thank you is not enough….I wish I could more to help you, but I can only pray…and I have been. Please be safe….Though they pardon you, in your business, you may never be truly free. Just know that you are a hidden hero/warrior for the people of the world. Wish I could be there tomorrow, I will be there in spirit praying for your release.. Jeannie Weber

  23. wrestlerjax says:

I like so many others wish I could be there with you to stand in support of truth. Here in the U.S you have given a renewed hope all but lost in the fog of political corruption. You Sir have given us a gift that can never be repaid. No longer are we silent. because of your work, no longer do we huddle quietly fearing retribution from an over bearing government. You “Sir” shined the light of truth and those listening heeded your call. I can not begin to tell you how relieved I am as a mother and grandmother that because of you I have hope for my childrens future and for so many others futures. I wish for you a joyous life filled with love and hope and FREEDOM. You gave us so much and I can only give you my thanks and prayers in hopes for a brighter future for you and your family.
    Good luck Julian
    God bless you
    S.B.

  24. Mary Roeder says:

    Dear Julian,

My Dad was a journalist and taught me to always question everything and to read between the lines. I have his journalist blood, but not his gift with words. I began looking into WikiLeaks one year ago and this has changed my life. My eyes are open forever because of you. I pray for your release, and for the freedom of Chelsea Manning and Edward Snowden, as well -and for the freedom for all those throughout the world who are facing oppression. I cannot attend the vigil. But my thoughts and prayers are with you on this day, as they are always. You have given me and the world so very, very much. Good health and happiness to you and your family.

    All the best to you,
    Mary Roeder

  25. Deb Giese says:

    Dear Julian,

While I cannot be at the vigil in person, I will be there in spirit, with all my Heart and Soul to support you. You have given the American people belief in good people who devote what they believe in to pursue the truth, no matter the outcome. I thank you, for your strength, strong will, and your love and passion for the truth! You are a journalist and should be able to publish the truth without punishment. That is just one of many wrongs in this world. I pray and hope you can get home to your precious family whom you so passionately talked about missing the most!! I can’t even imagine your heartache! God bless you and keep you safe while also sending you home!! With love!

From all of us…wrapping our arms around you for comfort and peace!

  26. Anthony Trawick says:

    Dear Julian,

Your work is nothing more than incredible! Giving the people truth should never be a crime on any continent. You have changed the world for the better. You have changed my life for the better. As someone who isn’t able to attend, it is my hope the right thing is done for you and by you. Although we will never meet in person, I have gotten to know you over the years. Leading by your examples, I continued to search for truth beyond just our Government in the United States. Truth isn’t bound by just 1 particular circumstances, but rather in general to be better educated from this point forward. Julian, whatever your future holds, always know we are forever grateful for the challenges, sacrifices, and knowledge you took on for and by the masses. For a man such as yourself, you rewrote history. Always stand tall knowing you believed in the truth and the truth shall set you free.

  27. Alva says:

I wish I could be there, showing my support for Julian assange who in my eyes is a intelligent man only doing his job as a journalist and therefore has to suffer because he went after “the wrong persons-country “. It’s not democracy to treat a person the way assange has been treated and still is. Shame on those responsible for not letting him go as a free man. This is so upsetting and I really wish there was something I could do. So many more people that I know have the same opinion about this as I have. But we are just ordinary people with no influence to do anything. Shame on those in power forcing Julian to stay in his prison.

  28. Zeeshan khan says:

Justice should free to live not to live in between the walls.

  29. Sara says:

u may feel like shit tomorrow when everyone’s gone home. But don’t! we haven’t gone home. there is no time for regret. this is a new era for u. u have always had the strength to weather this storm- a lesser man wouldn’t have made it….. no life is without suffering. we r with u. Gratitude🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🌹💓

  30. Hollie says:

Thank you for all you’ve done Julian! America stands with you! Thank you for showing the world Hillary’s corruption! You saved us from 4 years of corruption.

  31. Nola Wolley says:

Wish I could be there. You have my support Julian. In a world which has been taken over by evil, you are the light. You have given so much to the whole World. Honesty is the only way the world will get back on the right path and you have made massive progress to ensure that happens. When you are free you should have a place at the UN and make sure they do their jobs properly. Have a little free time, walks in the country first!!! Much love and huge respect. Ever need a place to hide …😜

  32. Jan says:

Dear Mr. Assange, so many Americans stand by you and thank you for truth. May God bless you and freedom be yours.

  33. Darthvadersmoms (@sr4girl) says:

I will be standing for you in spirit, Julian. You are a hero and deserve the positive recognition you deserve. Highest regards from Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA.

  34. Dear Julian,
Stay strong and never give up. You are an inspiration to us all to seek the truth and justice. I have never doubted that you were innocent. I won’t be able to be there November 14 but I will be praying for you. No matter what happens, please know you have made a difference in the world around you and that will never be forgotten. Never lose hope and know that those who support you will never give up on trying to get justice for you. You are not alone.
    Much love and respect,
    Carrie E.

  35. Dawn Gillan says:

Exposing corrupt government is the most dangerous job in the world. They do not want to be found out. God bless you, Julian Assange, and all of those who have fought for so very many voiceless commoners throughout the world. You have freed us now we MUST free you, and free you all who have aided in our freedom. I wish i could personally take you all from your unlawful captivity. But all i can do is pray. God reign His justice over this situation. Amen

  36. Dear Julian,

Be strong! Stand tall and continue to hold your head high. You have so many supporters around the world, myself included.
The guidance you have provided has shown us how to look at this world with our eyes open.
    The truth cannot be stopped.
Don’t ever give up! Continue to be the messenger, the world still needs you and the world needs WikiLeaks.

All of our strength, love and prayers are with you!
    K~

  37. Kris says:

    Dear Mr. Assange,

Be strong! Stand tall and continue to hold your head high. You have so many supporters around the world, myself included.
Many of us may be new to this, but the guidance you have provided has shown us how to look at what we see, read, and hear with eyes and ears open.
The truth cannot be stopped. It might be buried, but this is where you, WikiLeaks and your supporters grab the shovels and dig it up for all to see. We thank you for that.

Don’t give up! Continue to be the messenger, the world needs you and the world needs WikiLeaks.

All of our strength, love and prayers are with you!

  38. Hello from distant Australia and thank you so much to all the people in London who keep turning out, rain, hail or snow, to stand up for Julian Assange and demand his freedom. You are all heroes, and you actions are seen around the world. Please be assured that your support is invaluable and forever appreciated. Thank you!

It’s the start of summer here on the Gold Coast. The bats are arriving to eat my neighbour’s ripening mangoes, and the beaches are once again full of tourists. As the seasons change, year by year, I always think of Julian Assange, who was raised by his wonderful mother to delight in nature. I wish I could wrap up the kookaburra’s morning laughter, the nightly croaking of the cane toads, or the smell of fresh-cut lawn and mail it to him!

As Julian said recently, life in the embassy has become normalised for him. He hasn’t seen the sun for so long, he no longer notices the lack of it. 10 days in prison, 2 years under house arrest, and now 4 years in the Embassy has taken its toll.

As the United Nations ruled, this is a gross violation of human rights. Julian must be released, but he also deserved compensation for his years of suffering, and the further suffering carelessly inflicted on his family. In London, you are surrounded by people who have been deliberately targeted and educated with lies to make them hate Julian Assange. Media organisations like the Guardian and the New Statesman, who have lead these relentless smear attacks, should also be forced to apologize and pay compensation. To those of you who help fight back against this hateful propaganda – again, many thanks!

I cannot say that the election of Donald Trump is a good thing, but at least it provides an opportunity for the USA and its partners to reassess policies that have been wrong for too long. It is time to pardon Edward Snowden. It is time to release Chelsea Manning from years of torture. And it is time to end the 6 year persecution of Julian Assange and his team of WikiLeaks journalists!

Thanks again to all of you for your support! Gracias a Ecuador! Todos juntos venceremos!!! Together we will win!!!

  39. Pamela Drew says:

    Dear Julian,

There are legions who would love to stand in support outside the Embassy but your reach has touched us around the globe and we stand on every continent and populate the internet and we are everywhere there are hearts inspired to seek truth, justice and peace. To the extent that you have given us unique tools and guidance to see our world with the mechanisms of power laid bare, your fate is a symbolic reflection of our own. Your confinement is tangible evidence of freedoms and rights denied.

But your courage has been contagious and embolden us to stand up in countless ways large and small against abuses of power in our own little corners of the world. You have helped us to see ourselves as part of a larger picture that is global and formerly relegated to the planning of corporate and political titans.

The end result is yet to be written but history does repeat itself and we mortals find ourselves in struggles very similar to those who cam before us. At our best we hope that we can learn from the past so I have collected some thoughts from Albert Einstein that were born of a very dark time and envisioned another manner of thinking that changes the trajectory from global wars to world peace.

    Big hugs & safe travels,

    Pamela Drew :~)

    ~ Albert Einstein ~

Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds. The mediocre mind is incapable of understanding the man who refuses to bow blindly to conventional prejudices and chooses instead to express his opinions courageously and honestly. Any fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction.

The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing. Unthinking respect for authority is the greatest enemy of truth. He who joyfully marches in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would suffice.

A human being is part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. We experience ourselves, our thoughts and feelings as something separate from the rest. A kind of optical delusion of consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us.

Our task must be to free ourselves from the prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty…We shall require a substantially new manner of thinking if mankind is to survive.

In previous ages a nation’s life and culture could be protected to some extent by the growth of armies in national competition. Today we must abandon competition and secure cooperation. This must be the central fact in all our considerations of international affairs; otherwise we face certain disaster.

Past thinking and methods did not prevent world wars. Future thinking must prevent wars.

Julian Assange should be pardoned now by any country or other legal authority that currently has a complaint involving him.
Julian via WikiLeaks has single-handedly stopped the corrupt CLINTON machine from grabbing more power via the U.S. Presidency. Julian has done more for free speech than any person in the last 100 + years. Free Julian now to be with his family so as to continue his life’s work. Pardon him post haste!

  43. Dearest Julian,
While I am not able to attend the vigil in person, I will be with you in spirit. You are the essence of Truth, Justice, Wisdom, and Humanity. Your work has not only tremendously impacted those of us in the West, but rather all humankind. Historically there have been many great leaders who’ve fought long hard battles for very noble causes, but with every day that passes those heroes are few and far between. Through your tenacious empathetic mission and influence, you’re effectively changing this; inspiring, motivating, moving and empowering those who have been abused, silenced, and disenfranchised. Slowly but surely the dynamics of power are shifting on a global scale and although it is virtually impossible to identify and clearly track every instance of this truth, the fruits of your labor will come to light and inevitably be the salvation of so many lives for years to come. You’re living proof anything is possible – your efforts are not in vain and we are with you always in mind, soul and spirit — keep change alive!!!!
