A shameful chapter in our London’s history: CIA surveillance of Julian Assange inside and outside the Ecuadorian Embassy

I have written via http://www.writetothem.com to my London Assembly representatives to inform them of the most recent revelations regarding the CIA surveillance operation inside and outside the Ecuadorian Embassy in London. I hope they will scrutinise the London Mayor. Did he know the MetPol was collaborating with the CIA in surveilling the embassy? How is it to be tolerated that the CIA was operating with the obvious collaboration of MetPol? How much money has the London Tax Payer was burdened with in paying for the CIA led surveillance operation?

Perhaps we should not be shocked that the CIA is operating in the streets of London with impunity and the full co-operation of the UK security services in their various forms. Afterall the BBC openly has been collaborating with the CIA since WWII. But we have to question this co-operation when it is directed towards a publisher who revealed war crimes and corruption perpetrated by the USA.

If you are a London Resident please write to your London Assembly Member and ask them to scrutinise the London Mayor and let’s see what he has to say. Here is my letter:

Dear Caroline Russell, David Kurten, Caroline Pidgeon, Susan Hall, Andrew Boff, Fiona Twycross, Nicky Gavron, Sian Berry, Peter Whittle, Shaun Bailey and Tom Copley,

For a number of years I have been writing to the London assembly regarding the plight of Julian Assange. Since his arrest London Assembly member Umesh Desai has asked the London Mayor once more to reveal the costs of surveillance of Mr Julian Assange inside and outside the Ecuadorian Embassy. His question asked on May 31st 2019/9199 still remains unanswered.

We now know that it involved corruption, bribery, money laundering and the active operation of the CIA.

Here is a video presenting the known facts, presented last week in Leipzig Germany.

36C3 – Technical aspects of the surveillance in and around the Ecuadorian embassy in London

The dystopian picture drawn by this initial presentation should put a chill to any democrat’s heart. This operation has happened under your watch. The WikiLeaks founder is currently at HMPrison Belmarsh, a prisoner on remand awaiting extradition hearing at British Courts next month in February.

It is time to demand from the Mayor that he comes out clean with the level taxpayer’s money involved in the overt and covert operation against Julian Assange. Furthermore, surely if you still believe in democracy you should demand what has been done in our name in relation to the co-operation of the Metropolitan Police with the CIA in the surveillance of the Embassy. In the presentation you will view a laser microphone featured in a flat at Number 18 Hans Crescent and exactly how it was operated. Were British officers involved in such operation? was the laser microphone operated by British offers on site or off site? Did the purchase of the laser microphone come from British Budgets controlled by the London Mayor?

As part of a solidarity vigil outside the Ecuadorian Embassy for six and a half years, what assurance can you offer me that I was not the subject of CIA surveillance targeting? To what extend the CIA operation was done with the collaboration of MetPol and did the London Mayor know of such operation?

Is the London Assembly finally going to play its part in scrutinising taxpayers’ spending in the surveillance of the Ecuadorian Embassy and Julian Assange. How can it be tolerated that for so many years there has been no realistic understanding of the costs involved? For what exactly have we been paying for all these years?

Please ask the questions and throw some light in this shameful chapter in our London’s history.

Yours sincerely,
