Belmarsh Vigil for Julian Assange Saturday 20th of June 12-3pm

Join local residents in solidarity with Julian Assange. Social Distancing rules apply. Congregate in separate groups of six only plenty of space for several groups in the vicinity. Bring Yellow ribbons, in solidarity to political prisoner Julian Assange to decorate the trees outside Belmarsh. Address: Western Way, London SE28 0EB Pick up a pack of the new flyers, an amazing booklet by @SomersetBean to mark Julian Assange spending one year in Belmarsh.

Free Assange Speak Up! Saturday 20th of June 3pm

Join our regular solidarity activists at Piccadilly Circus in solidarity with Julian Assange. Banners, Posters, Flyers, Chanting, informing the passers by about developments in the case. Help us build up the mass movement needed to Free the WikiLeaks Publisher from the clutches of Belmarsh prison.

The Assange case and Collateral Murder Video, Special Don’t Extradite Assange Broadcast.

On Sunday The Guardian published two important articles with an interview of a former Reuters journalist whose colleagues were killed by the US military in 2007, which was captured on the Collateral Murder video. He speaks about his experience, how it affected him and how the US military tried to cover up these war crimes.

The Assange case and Collateral Murder
June 20, 2020, 1pm BST

For the 10th year anniversary of WikiLeaks releasing Collateral Murder video, we commemorated this event with an online panel which you can watch here: Collateral Murder – 10 Years On
The video shows how two Apache helicopters murdered 11 Iraqi people including two Reuters journalists. This is one of the publications Julian Assange is being indicted for espionage. He faces 175 years in a US jail if extradited from the UK.
We are doing a special follow up broadcast with WikiLeaks editor-in-chief Kristinn Hrafnsson and invited guests.
