Sunday 20/12/20 3-4:30pm Committee to Defend Julian Assange Organising Meeting for January 2021

Dear Friends in the struggle to Free Julian Assange!

A new year is upon us and January the 4th is crucial for the fate of journalism internationally in the context of Judge Vanessa Baraitser passing a ruling on the Julian Assange US Extradition case before her.

For a decade he has embodied Press Freedom and pioneered new methods and standards in reporting with his publications. Now he stands imprisoned at HMP Belmarsh awaiting his fate. We stand with him!

Here in the UK the Committee to Defend Julian Assange continues to assist with grassroots efforts in mobilising the public. Let’s come together Sunday 20th of December between 3 and 4:30 pm to plan and discuss our solidarity actions for January 2021.

If you live in the UK and wish to participate please join us on our GoToMeet online discussion. Due to Covid our monthly organising meetings stopped in March 2020. We appreciate that many members are unable or unwilling to participate in online discussions and every effort will be made to keep people informed and involved despite the great challenges that this pandemic has created. Keep safe in these difficult times!
