Photos from 11/09/21 – A beautiful day of support for #WikiLeaks publisher Julian Assange in London

What WikiLeaks activists are up to in London every Saturday you might wonder!

Enjoy the photos and videos from the amazing @EFPress from the actions in support of Julian Assange and join us whenever you can.

But don’t stop there! If you do not live close to the locations where actions are already established but wish to form your own action in support of WikiLeaks and Julian Assange write to us at jadc@protonmail.ch and we will send you materials and help advertise your action.

At Belmarsh we inaugurated our new banners calling out for support in and out the Royal Courts of Justice for the 27th and 28th of October 2021 when the High Court will her the Appeal granted to US Department of Justice to challenge the decision of Westminster Magistrates Court to not extradite Julian Assange to the US.

Designed by Somerset Bean, the banners reflect the images created for our Billboard Campaign.

We took our new banners to the gates of HMP Belmarsh for some chanting, trying to reach out with our voices to those inside.

and sharing messages of solidarity:

and

But most of our solidarity work was outside the prison were we distributed around 1500 flyers to the passing traffic, and the residential area of Thamesmead, opposite HMP Belmarsh.

We held posters and placards outside Belmarsh encouraging motoring to ‘Beep to Free Assange’ and revelled at the symphony of car horns!

Some of us continued our action in central London later in the day, bringing our flyers and banners at a different event at the iconic Eros statue at Piccadilly Circus where joining with other WikiLeaks activists we continued to distribute flyers to passing people.

In Solidarity

  1. Joe, EF Press says:

Great stuff at the gates and amazing support that only grows by the day. Thanks especially to local Woolwich contingent for raising Julian’s case in that shameful home to UK’s Gitmo of the Western Way. Indeed!
