Solidarity action at USAF Fairford during Bradley’s court hearing

Siobhan Winter-Smith stood in solidarity with Bradley Manning outside the military base at Fairford, Gloucestershire on the first day of Bradley Manning’s pre-trial ‘motions’ hearing last week.

US bombers flew from Fairford in both Gulf wars. Fairford remains on standby and could be reactivated as a USAF base within a matter of hours for any future bombing campaign.

Report in local paper here.

Siobhan has said:

“It’s not about me – it’s about him telling the TRUTH. I lived close enough to USAF Fairford to shudder at the nightly whine of B52s taking off from the 51st state to attack a sovereign country on the dodgy dossier and murder of Dr David Kelly. I’m a Probation Officer (well ex-) so Truth and Justice are what makes me tick…”
